You will get no gold but still + 3 food! So, since food is limiting factor for Skaven and actually not gold, you can employ some dirt cheap lords with no skill and skavenslaves (I'm not sure how does you army size effect amount of food raided - maybe even lord alone is enough) and just raid your neighbours or razed settlements for +2 food for each lord/army (army costs -1 so you still net +2 food). You can also raid razed settlements as well if you have diplo issues. Wut).Don't get me wrong it definitely makes them play uniquely but it's not like they're op without limiting factors like food and loyalty. It's frustrating to feel like I have to juggle having enough income (their buildings don't make much and you can't realistically be ALWAYS looting and sacking for money, especially without fielding a big expensive army), lord loyalty (why is this mechanic even part of some factions), and food (1 per settlement! I'm not sure I understand why the food mechanic is so limiting. I'm super enjoying my Queek campaign in every sense except for the crushing food issue. They could either be on the frontlines or raiding your own settlements and eating the rebels. Only go for the unique ones, the ones with pastures that provide food or the ritual ones.If your really suffering you can use the provincial bonus that adds food to a cost of skaven corruption and a dent in income.You could also have a seperate army that just fights to get food. Pretty much stuck on my Queek campaign at 0 food but I have been trying to combat it.You need to stop yourself playing like every other total war game to date and just raze all the useless settlements for you. Skaven needs a food rebalancing and a leadership buff to some units. You end up not being able to field many armies, so what is the point of playing skaven if you can't win with numbers?Also, skaven units don't have a lot of leadership, and this problem combined with the leadership penalty of low food, your amies just suck. Armies cost a shit ton of money in WH2, which is fine, but they cost waaay too much food. Honestly, I gave up on my Queek campaign on Legendary because there is no point.
